SEARCHING FOR DOCUMENTS proving a person’s stay in Nazi concentration camps, ghettos and forced labour camps outside Ukraine during World War II

TRACING abroad of the FAMILY MEMBERS with whom contact was lost as a result of current armed conflicts, natural disasters, technological disasters and because of modern migration processes
For each case, the enquirer should consult the to receive information regarding possibilities to conduct tracing in the country of concern.
HOW TO INITIATE A TRACING REQUEST:
To initiate a Tracing Request, a written statement to the Tracing Service of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society with detailed information on the person to be traced as well as on the enquirer is needed (including the full postal address of the enquirer). In addition, a definite time-period linked to the disappearance - at least the correct year of disappearance - would be needed too.
For tracing outside of Ukraine, relevant criteria of the concerned national Red Cross or Red Crescent Society would be verified before accepting a request.
Tracing of persons outside of Ukraine requires a definite period of time, usually at least one year, depending on the national societies, where tracing requests are sent.

Note: All individual enquiries from abroad shall be addressed to the Tracing Service of the Red Cross/Red Crescent National Society of the country of the enquirer’s residence. The Ukrainian Red Cross Society will not accept direct individual requests from abroad. The enquirer may receive further information concerning criteria and procedures at the Tracing Department of the Red Cross/Red Crescent National Society in his/her country of residence.
